Fred Schingen - Birth Certificate
This record lists the surname “Schingen” but no first name. The gender is marked as female, with a birthdate of January 31st, 1894, and the father’s name is listed as Fred. There was some speculation that twins were born and the female twin did not survive, but there’s no record of a male Schingen born on that date either. Ultimately, it was determined that this was a clerical error by the Register of Deeds County Recorder in November of 1894.
